Directions for Use

1. Blend the required weight of custard powder and sugar with the specified amount of cold milk to form a smooth paste. 2. Bring the rest of the milk to the boil in a pan. 3. Gently whisk/stir the paste mixture into the boiling milk. 4. Bring back to the boil, stir until the custard begins to thicken. 5. Simmer for one minute, stirring continuously. Do not overcook. Serve hot or cold. Cool rapidly if not using the custard immediately, then keep refrigerated and consume within 24 hours. Yield Guide - To make approx. 1 pint: Custard powder - 28 g, granulated sugar - 28 g, cold milk - 114 ml, boiling milk - 454 ml. To make approx. 1 litre: Custard powder - 50 g, granulated sugar - 50 g, cold milk - 200 ml, boiling water - 800 ml. To make approx. 5 litres: Custard powder - 250 g, granulated sugar - 250 g, cold milk - 1 litre, boiling milk - 4 litres. To make approx. 70 litres: Custard powder - whole bag, granulated sugar - 3.5 kg, cold milk - 14 litres, boiling milk - 56 litres. To make approx. 1 pint of trifle custard: Custard powder - 34 g, granulated sugar - 28 g, cold milk - 114 ml, boiling milk - 454 ml. To make approx. 1 litre of trifle custard: Custard powder - 60 g, granulated sugar - 50 g, cold milk - 200 ml, boiling milk - 800 ml. To make approx. 5 litres of trifle custard: Custard powder - 300 g, granulated sugar - 250 g, cold milk - 1 litre, boiling milk - 4 litres. To make approx. 70 litres of trifle custard: Custard powder - 4.2 kg, granulated sugar - 3.5 kg, cold milk - 14 litres, boiling milk - 56 litres.


Storage Instructions

Store in a cool and dry place, out of direct sunlight. Keep bag tightly closed after part use and use within 2 months.
