5 Ways to Use

Chopped Tomatoes are a store cupboard essential and can be used across various dishes on many menus. One of the most unassuming and versatile ingredients in our cupboard’s, tinned tomatoes are the base for so many delicious meals – from curries to lasagnes and loads in between.

The Country Range Chopped Tomatoes are authentic Italian. They have a rich tomato sauce and come peeled and diced so they are ready to use.

Soup

1 Makes a great base for a classic tomato and basil soup. Add some sweated chopped onions, garlic and chopped basil for a super quick and cost-effective soup

Pizza Sauce

2 Simply puree with some dried oregano, some crushed garlic a splash of wine vinegar and some salt for a simple yet fresh pizza sauce

Stew

3 Tinned tomatoes always enrich and bring body to all stews, including curries. Try adding a few spoonful’s to your favourite stew next time you make it.

Salsa

4 Perfect D.I.Y salsa is simply tinned tomatoes, green peppers, garlic, jalapeños, red onion, lime juice and coriander. Give it a quick wiz and serve with a bag of tortilla chips or serve as a side with grilled fish or meat

Paella

5 Add some tinned chopped tomatoes and juice to your Spanish style paella for extra colour and flavour. if you’ve any juice left over, celebrate with a nice Bloody Mary or Virgin Mary
